The SITRANS LU150 is a compact ultrasonic level meter with a short range. This versatile, two-wire, 4 to 20 mA loop-powered level meter is ideal for monitoring liquids, slurries, and bulk materials in open or closed vessels within a range of 5 m. The SITRANS LU180 is a compact ultrasonic level meter with a short range. This intrinsically safe (ATEX, CSA, FM, IECEx, NEPSI) two-wire, 4 to 20 mA loop-powered level meter is ideal for monitoring liquids, slurries, and bulk materials in open or closed vessels within a range of 5 m. Constructed of PVDF copolymer, this level meter is suitable for a wide range of applications. The SITRANS LU150/LU180 is easy to install and maintain, and can be quickly disassembled for cleaning as required by the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Level data reliability is based on the Sonic Intelligence® echo processing algorithm. Filters distinguish true echoes from false echoes from acoustic or electrical noise and agitator blade movement. The time it takes for an ultrasonic pulse to travel to the material and back is temperature compensated and converted into distance for display, analog input, and other purposes.
